Overview

The Ephesus Tour from Bodrum is a 10-hour guided day trip. During this tour, you will visit Ephesus Ancient City, the Terrace Houses, and the House of the Virgin Mary. Ephesus is one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the world, and you will explore it with a licensed local guide. The tour starts with pick-up from your accommodation in Bodrum. After around a 2.5-hour drive, you will arrive in the Ephesus area. When you arrive at Ephesus, your guide will take you through the ancient streets, temples, and public areas of the city. During the visit, you will see some of the most important highlights, including the Temple of Hadrian, the Library of Celsus, and the Grand Theatre. You will also visit the Terrace Houses, one of the most interesting parts of Ephesus. Here, you can see how wealthy people lived in ancient times and learn more about daily life in the city. After visiting Ephesus Ancient City, you will take a short drive to Mount Bulbul to visit the House of the Virgin Mary. This is believed to be the place where the Virgin Mary spent her final years. After the visits, there will be a lunch break in Selcuk at a local restaurant. If you prefer, lunch can also be arranged at Yedi Bilgeler Winery with wine tasting. After a relaxing lunch break, you will start the return journey to Bodrum. At the end of the tour, you will be dropped off at your accommodation.

Day 1
Pick-up in Bodrum You'll be picked up from your accommodations in Bodrum early in the morning and begin a scenic drive through the beautiful landscapes of the Aegean region. Scenic Drive to Selcuk Enjoy a relaxing drive through the beautiful Aegean countryside, passing by the picturesque Bafa Lake. Optional coffee or breakfast stops can be arranged along the way. House of the Virgin Mary Our first stop will be the House of the Virgin Mary, a peaceful pilgrimage site believed to be the final residence of Mary. You'll have time to explore the chapel and surrounding gardens. Ephesus Ancient City We'll then continue to Ephesus, one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the world. During our guided visit, you'll discover remarkable landmarks including the Magnesian Gate, Odeon, Curetes Street, Temple of Hadrian, Library of Celsus, Marble Street, and the Great Theatre of Ephesus. Optional Visit: Terrace Houses Guests who wish to explore further may visit the Terrace Houses, famous for their well-preserved mosaics, frescoes, and luxurious Roman residences. Lunch Break Following the Ephesus tour, you'll have free time for lunch at a local restaurant. Return to Bodrum At the end of the tour, we'll begin our journey back to Bodrum.
