  • Konak Clock Tower: Located in the heart of the city, Konak Clock Tower is the symbol of Izmir and one of its most photographed landmarks. Built in 1901, it stands in lively Konak Square, just beside the historic entrance to Kemeralti Bazaar.
  • Kemeralti Bazaar: is a historic market district located directly behind Konak Square. It has traditional shops, cafes, mosques, hidden courtyards and local life.   • Kadifekale: Meaning Velvet Castle, Kadifekale stands on Mount Pagos, where the new city of Smyrna was redeveloped during the Hellenistic period after Alexander the Great’s arrival in the region. The city moved here from Old Smyrna near today’s Bayrakli area. Today, the castle offers one of the best panoramic views over modern Izmir.
